Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
- Work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to procure and distribute medication orders.
- Fill physician orders, replenish medication kits, and stock requisitions accurately.
- Prepare intravenous admixtures and other sterile preparations safely and accurately.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing medications and supplies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to meet departmental goals.
- Perform training of new employees and in-services for current employees.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and other projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern License with Michigan Board of Pharmacy.
- Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT).
