Job Summary

Medical Surgical Nurse

As a Medical Surgical Nurse at TriStar Summit Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our 33-bed acute care department. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including pre and post-surgical patients, wound care, and physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments to identify patient needs and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Document patient care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being.

Requirements:

  • RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
  • Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • BLS required, and must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer.
  • At least one-year clinical nursing experience preferred.
