POSITION SUMMARY

We are in search of a qualified and enthusiastic ELA Tutor to contribute to our educational initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Language Arts, Reading, and Writing, ideally for K-12 students and/or at the collegiate level.

LOCATION

We are looking for individuals to fulfill tutoring roles in the surrounding areas. The Tutor will conduct sessions with students outside of standard school hours, ensuring personalized attention and support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate individualized tutoring sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Design and apply effective teaching methodologies and strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students and their families regarding academic performance.
  • Collaborate with Tutor Doctor staff and fellow tutors to exchange best practices and contribute to the development of educational resources.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience is essential.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required.
  • Teaching credentials are advantageous.
  • Must reside within a reasonable distance for in-person tutoring.
  • Possess a friendly demeanor with the ability to connect with students and parents.
  • Capability to develop lesson plans effectively.
  • Access to a personal vehicle, internet, and a computer or smartphone.
