About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Hematology team at Emory Healthcare. As a Hematology Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of oncology nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide individualized care to patients with hematological disorders, utilizing evidence-based chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatment plans and clinical practice guidelines for symptom management.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in Clinical Research: Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical research studies to advance care and treatment options for oncology patients.
  • Develop and Implement Education Programs: Design and deliver educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare staff to promote evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Experience: 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Certifications: BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
