Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform duties related to cost accounting.
2. Analyze and generate reports that compare budgeted expenses to actual expenditures on a regular basis.
3. Assess the company's inventory and production expenses, evaluate profit margins, and contrast actual costs with projections.
4. Establish and evaluate cost benchmarks, including expenses for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
5. Collaborate with the finance department to formulate annual budgets, conduct risk assessments on potential investments, and provide insights on expected returns.
6. Carry out ongoing analyses of process constraints and regularly report cost trends to management to aid in strategic decision-making.
7. Utilize financial software for analysis and report preparation.
8. Ensure that cost accounting practices comply with financial regulations and contractual obligations.
9. Work alongside auditors, supplying necessary information and clarifications for auditing processes.
10. Engage in month-end closing activities, ensuring precise and timely outcomes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
2. At least 2 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting.
3. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is advantageous.
4. Proven expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
5. Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
6. Exceptional analytical abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
8. Proficiency in relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication across all organizational levels.
10. High integrity and reliability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
