Associate Psychologist

The Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is seeking an Associate Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary treatment team in the Juvenile Justice residential setting. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to youth, including assessment, treatment planning, and individual and group counseling.

• Conduct admission screening, including mental status exams and suicide assessments.
• Develop and implement 30-day assessments, including mental health and substance use screens, youth and collateral interviews, and record reviews.
• Collaborate with assigned psychiatrists to develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling and psychotherapy.
• Conduct treatment reviews and cognitive and other psychological testing as needed.
• Participate in the facility Committee on Special Education.
• Develop discharge plans.

To be considered for this role, you must have a doctoral degree in a field of psychology and one year of experience in a clinical setting, under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist. You must also be able to work effectively with youth and staff in a residential setting.
