Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to medical patients and complex care patients. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs, as well as assisting in rehabilitating patients to enable them to move to acute rehab or be discharged.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized patient care to medical patients and complex care patients
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
  • Current BLS & ACLS certification
