Job Title: Nursing Assistant

Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant will assist in the provision of patient care by performing professional nursing duties established by policies and procedures. This includes performing direct patient care, supervising direct patient care personnel, and administering medications and treatments as ordered by the MD.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform direct patient care, including vital signs, bathing, and dressing
  • Supervise direct patient care personnel, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the MD, including wound care and oxygen therapy
  • Follow individual patient care plans, recognizing any changes in patient condition and implementing appropriate nursing care and action
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and staff development as required
  • Consult with Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing, and other disciplines to provide optimal care
Requirements:
  • Valid LPN license through the State of Arizona Board of Nursing
  • Current fingerprint clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
  • High school graduate or equivalent
Work Environment:

The Nursing Assistant will work in a low-acuity skilled nursing unit that is transitioning to assisted living. The unit is staffed with a Charge Nurse 7-days a week and an Administrative Nurse on-call 24 hours a day. The work environment is fast-paced, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
