The Senior Infrastructure Analyst will play a key role in securing new infrastructure investment deals, monitoring existing portfolio positions, and implementing strategic projects within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Modeling and Evaluation: Champion the use of financial modeling to evaluate potential investments, considering strategy, structure, and investment costs.
  • Due Diligence Coordination: Lead the coordination of due diligence workstreams with external advisers, covering accounting, tax, commercial, legal, technical, and environmental aspects.
  • Proposal and Presentation Preparation: Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for the investment committee and other internal and external audiences.
  • New Investment Ideas: Contribute to originating new investment ideas by leveraging public analysts, networking, and industry publications.
  • Investment Monitoring: Assist in monitoring current investments by reviewing quarterly reports, meeting with management, and preparing investment management reviews.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Facilitate the generation of complete and up-to-date reporting on existing investments, including tracking asset performance, risk profiles, and investment costs.
  • Industry Knowledge and Networking: Attend conferences to expand knowledge of the market environment and products, as well as to network within the industry.
  • Investment Process and Portfolio Construction: Contribute to the on-going portfolio construction research, updating capital allocation targets and proactively identifying relevant market trends and developments.
  • Best Practices and Collaboration: Exchange ideas and facilitate best investment practices with infrastructure colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Experience and Attributes: The successful candidate will have at least years of relevant work experience, a clear understanding of private infrastructure equity as an asset class, and/or infrastructure project finance experience.
  • Investment Management Workstreams: Demonstrable affinity with various investment management workstreams, with a focus on financial modeling and coordinating due diligence.
  • Generalist Mindset and Analytical Skills: Generalist mindset with strong analytical skills and ability to act in an entrepreneurial setting decisively, yet in a disciplined manner.
  • Education and Certifications: Degree in economics or business studies, with an MBA and/or CFA being an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
