Job Summary:

The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for fabricating materials from blueprints and/or hand drawings using raw materials. This includes MIG / TIG welding for Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Cold Rolled Steel on Tubing and Sheet Metal.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate materials from blueprints and/or hand drawings using raw materials
  • Perform MIG / TIG welding for Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Cold Rolled Steel on Tubing and Sheet Metal
  • Notify Lead, Supervisor or Management of problems which affect the production/quality of parts
  • Complete all assignments in a timely manner and meet production delivery schedules
  • Set up pre-fitted parts for welding, use hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures
  • Ensure all welding is performed and documented in compliance with all quality control policies
  • Maintain traceability requirements by completing required documentation
  • Clean and maintain welding equipment
  • Adhere to all safety practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment
  • Ensure all items on the inventory list are logged in
  • Check parts and enter measurements on the First Article Inspection Report, when required

Requirements:
  • 2 - 5+ years' experience in TIG & MIG welding
  • In-depth knowledge of Robotic Welding
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of welding operations
  • In-depth knowledge of product quality and welding specifications
  • Ability to set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain assembly and welding equipment and tools
  • Ability to recognize and address problems in the assembly process
