Position Overview:

Kansas State University is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to oversee the upkeep of university-owned aircraft. This role is vital for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our flight training operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and periodic maintenance inspections on aircraft.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certifications.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience with piston-powered aircraft.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively.
  • Inspection Authorization is a plus.
  • Graduation from an FAA-approved aviation maintenance program.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance tracking software.
