Job Title: Float LPN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Float LPN to join our team at ScionHealth - Kindred Cornerstone & Solara Hospitals. As a Float LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients across our hospital market, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Float LPN will administer medication, perform treatments, and provide patient care responsibilities as prescribed. This role requires local travel to all Kindred Hospitals within a designated market, within approximately a 30-mile radius.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration within scope of practice.
  • Assist with the rehabilitation and treatment of patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, updates, and revises plan of care under the supervision of Registered Nurse.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and special procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity.
  • Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.
  • Interact professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
  • Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicates with Social Services/Discharge Planner regarding both in-hospital and post-discharge needs.
  • Interprets data about the patient's status in order to identify each patient's age-specific needs and provide care needed by the patient group.
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
