The Senior Cloud Security Risk Analyst will play a crucial role in executing the identification, assessment, monitoring, measurement, and governance of Cloud Security risks and controls. This ensures that cloud workloads align with risk tolerance levels and comply with established cloud security requirements across diverse service and deployment models. Additionally, this role will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the cloud control framework, ensuring its consistency with Wells Fargo policies and emerging threat vectors. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of industry-standard frameworks related to cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), risk management principles, controls, and analytics, enabling them to provide insightful cloud security risk assessments for executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and critically evaluate cloud workload/service functions across all types of cloud services (public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud) and deployment models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), including AI and Generative AI models, to assess residual risk and ensure compliance with the cloud security control framework.
  • Identify, analyze, and monitor risks to guarantee that cloud workloads, including AI/GenAI models, are secure prior to deployment and maintain adherence to the control framework post-deployment.
  • Assess control environments across the enterprise, platform, and application layers, conduct risk assessments, perform root cause analyses, and ensure sustainable remediation efforts.
  • Assist with audits, independent risk testing, and regulatory examinations.
  • Engage with relevant governance and control management bodies to support control monitoring and compliance.
  • Develop and track metrics and key risk indicators related to the threat landscape and Wells Fargo policy and control frameworks to understand the aggregate impact and ensure comprehensive coverage of the control framework.
  • Support the continuous improvement and adoption of the Cloud Security Control Framework.
  • Define requirements for automation in support of Cloud Security Risk and facilitate its adoption.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security Analysis or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, and education.

  • Experience with industry standards (e.g., NIST, CSA, FFIEC, CIS, CRI Profile).
  • Relevant Cloud, Risk, and Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CCSK).
  • Understanding of information security threats, trends, best practices, and security tools.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with peers, stakeholders, senior management, auditors, and regulators.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems independently while managing multiple high-priority deliverables.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience in the finance sector or other regulated industries (e.g., utilities, healthcare, government).
