We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will provide direct patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
