Job Overview

The primary function of the Robotic Welding Operator is to manage and control advanced robotic systems that perform welding tasks on metal components.

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • Setting up and operating robotic welding equipment to join metal parts efficiently.
  • Aligning and securing fixtures and jigs on machines using precise measuring tools.
  • Preparing metal surfaces for welding by utilizing hand tools such as grinders and drills.
  • Interpreting blueprints and conducting necessary machine setups for welding operations.
  • Performing post-weld finishing tasks to ensure high-quality visual standards.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Loading and unloading workpieces into robotic systems.
  • Using control systems to operate machinery effectively.
  • Measuring completed workpieces to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Communicating with supervisors regarding any machine issues or production discrepancies.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to measurements and weights.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic technical documents.
  • Strong reasoning skills to follow instructions and troubleshoot minor issues.
Physical Requirements

This position requires:

  • Frequent standing and use of hands for handling materials and controls.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 50 pounds.
  • Engagement in repetitive motions and reaching tasks.
Work Environment

Employees will work in environments with exposure to moving machinery and elevated noise levels, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment.
