Patient Focus:
Our facility caters to individuals referred after neurological incidents such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries, as well as those seeking fall prevention and lymphedema management services. The Clinical Nurse Specialist is a seasoned nursing professional who not only educates patients and families but also facilitates care coordination among various healthcare disciplines.
Leadership and Community Engagement:
This position requires demonstrating leadership capabilities by organizing educational initiatives for the community and participating in committees and professional organizations associated with our healthcare network.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a current RN license or a compact license recognized by the State of Vermont. The University of Vermont Health Network is committed to developing a workforce with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). All external candidates who are hired or current employees who are promoted to a nursing position will be expected to obtain their BSN as per the terms of their employment offer. Current internal RNs are highly encouraged to pursue a BSN to align with this initiative.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of two years of relevant RN experience is required for this role.
