Position Overview:
As a Senior Consultant specializing in Strategy and Transformation within State Health, you will leverage your expertise in national healthcare reform and its implications for state Medicaid and public health initiatives. Your role will encompass a comprehensive understanding of state and local health and human services programs, including health benefits exchanges and Medicaid operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support state agencies, including Medicaid and Behavioral Health, in crafting strategic plans that facilitate the statewide execution of healthcare reforms.
  • Assist clients in evaluating business and technical requirements pertinent to program initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough research to remain informed about state healthcare transformation efforts.
  • Engage in data analysis and qualitative research to fulfill state-specific research demands.
  • Document findings and communicate insights to inform recommendations and subsequent actions.
  • Collaborate with a diverse array of healthcare stakeholders.
  • Participate in the analysis of client-identified challenges.
  • Oversee projects and engagements of varying scopes and durations.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff members.
  • Manage client interactions and expectations effectively.
  • Provide subject matter expertise as required.
  • Contribute to business development efforts with prospective clients.
  • Engage in firm-building activities unrelated to client work.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in fields such as business administration, health policy, public health, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with state health agencies and healthcare reform, including Medicaid and public health systems.
  • Experience with self-directed models of community-based service delivery.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in deliverable preparation.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet client needs (10-30%).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in a health-related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strategic mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks independently and oversee specific projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and research methodologies.
  • Ability to produce high-quality, client-ready deliverables.
