Job Overview

The Aircraft Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing line and heavy maintenance in a safe and efficient manner, reporting to an experienced Shift Lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical tasks, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance of aircraft structures, in accordance with Service Bulletins, AD's, and aircraft manuals.
  • Design and layout structural repair manuals, and construct and set up jigs and fixtures.
  • Complete general repairs, including sealant application, fastener installation, and metal and composite surface treatment.
  • Safely operate ground equipment and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and submission of work for approval.
  • Source and use calibrated tooling, and sign off on own work and the work of others.
  • Apply safe work practices, including wearing PPE, understanding and applying the Risk Management System, and maintaining good housekeeping standards.

Requirements

  • Transport Canada 'S' license.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take initiative.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn and understand KF organizational systems and workflow.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Intranet.
  • Willingness to pursue type endorsements and additional company training.
  • Thorough understanding of Transport Canada regulations and working knowledge of the types of aircraft supported by KF.
