Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on patient care and service, with the ability to independently perform a variety of procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Assess the physical and mental condition of patients through comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories.
  • Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and healthcare needs.
  • Prescribe, recommend, and employ medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments and procedures in accordance with approved protocols and policies.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, and professional practice guidelines.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, management of health conditions, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
  • Maintain accurate records detailing patient treatment plans and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • 2 years of critical care experience preferred or completion of a critical care fellowship.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications within 30 days of hire or transfer.
