Key Responsibilities- Supervise and prioritize maintenance activities for all plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns by identifying the root cause and implementing immediate repairs.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Manage and maintain a safe and secure work environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Recruit, select, orient, and train maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of maintenance staff, providing coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience supervising in a manufacturing maintenance department with hourly direct reports.
- Journeyperson or equivalent training in a relevant trade.
- Strong aptitude for equipment technology troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with maintenance management software, including inventory, work-order systems, and MRO.
- Ability to implement a Maintenance Word-Order-System or CMMS.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Six Sigma Lean Yellow Belt experience or ability to obtain Yellow Belt certification within 12 months.
- Kaizen and 6-S experience.
- CMMS experience.
