The IT Security Specialist will be responsible for safeguarding the organization's IT systems and data from security threats. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring for potential breaches, and responding to security incidents.

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Respond to security incidents and provide thorough post-event analyses.
• Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance overall security posture.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field/equivalent experience.
• Proven 2 years of experience as an IT Security Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
