We are seeking a highly skilled Global Commodity Manager to join our team at MicroVention-Terumo. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global sourcing and commodity strategies that drive significant value in our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement global sourcing and commodity strategies to deliver value in the supply chain.
- Manage the procurement of raw materials, conduct market research, and analyze global economic conditions to inform purchasing decisions.
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing and quality of commodities.
- Oversee bidding and contract negotiations to secure the best pricing for commodities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing the purchase and delivery of goods.
- Foster the professional development of direct reports and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure purchasing metrics.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of management experience.
- Strong background in Supply Chain Management.
- Highly developed management and leadership skills.
- Strong negotiator with advanced presentation, team facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of technical acuity and good analytical skills.
- Strong computer knowledge, including MS Office, JD Edwards, SAP or similar ERP.
- MBA
- Professional certification (APICS, ISM, ASP)
