About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and extensive experience in data modeling.

As a senior consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data models that support the organization's data strategy and business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

Data Model Design:
Design and develop logical, physical, and conceptual data models to meet the organization's data management needs.

Database Design:
Create and optimize database structures, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance.

Data Integration:
Collaborate with data architects and developers to integrate data from various sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Data Governance:
Ensure that data models comply with data governance policies, standards, and best practices.

Documentation:
Document data models, data flows, and metadata to ensure clarity and ease of use for other teams.

Collaboration:

Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data models.


Mentorship:

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data modelers and data engineers, promoting best practices in data modeling and management.


Problem-Solving:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data models, data integration, and database performance.

Requirements:
8+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture.
Proven experience in developing and managing data models for complex, large-scale databases.
Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, or similar).
Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lineage.

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Certification in data modeling or database management.
Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
