Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled Staff Accountant to join our finance team, supporting the accounting function at NECA. This role will report to the Senior Accountant and collaborate closely with various members across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare balance sheet analyses and reconciliations to support financial statements.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting, collaborating with the Senior Accountant and other Accounting team members.
  • Prepare information for the annual audit, working closely with the independent CPA firm.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP's, and SUMIF's.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Desire to thrive in team-based work or independent tasks, with a willingness to learn and take initiative on unique projects and tasks.
