Responsibilities: * Assist in the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. * Perform MRI scanning of the heart, requiring advanced skill sets and knowledge of anatomy and physiology. * Set up and adjust equipment according to radiologist protocols for exams. * Operate complex radiographic equipment within the radiology department. * Receive and review requests for MRI procedures, assessing patient conditions and special requirements. * Explain and prepare patients for all MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding. * Possess and utilize proper aseptic technique and isolation procedures when necessary. * Administer medications under the direction of a physician to render specific organs or systems more opaque. * Perform quality control on images, maintain inventory, and adhere to safety regulations. * Participate in training of department personnel, including students. Qualifications: * Technical Diploma/Certificate in Radiology required. * High School Diploma or Equivalent required. * BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association certification required upon hire. * Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RTMR) certification required within 120 days. * Registered Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred.
