Job Summary

Albany Med is seeking a skilled Pathologist Assistant to provide services in anatomic pathology under the supervision of a licensed, board-certified, or board-eligible anatomic pathologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submit tissue samples for testing and examine body parts removed during surgery
  • Photograph the body and individual organs, and conduct research and training for pathology residents, pathologists' assistant students, and other pathology lab personnel
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science, such as biology or chemistry
  • Completion of a pathologists' assistant program resulting in a master's degree
  • Certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
