The logistics team plays a crucial role in meeting our customers' expectations by ensuring timely and efficient delivery of materials. The Logistics Team Associate will perform various functions, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Trip inspections of the truck to ensure safe operation, checking all fluids, tires, cab, bed of truck, straps, lights, etc.
  • Operating a forklift to assist in loading and unloading material on and off a commercial truck.
  • Climbing up and down the bed of a flatbed truck to strap material down while using a metal winch bar.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean truck by keeping material out of the cab and off the bed of the truck, performing periodic cleaning of the inside and outside of the truck.
  • Assisting shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise.
  • Preparing orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery areas.
  • Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Opening pallets, crates, and other containers.
  • Maintaining inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and documenting via designated channels.
  • Preparing material for shipping via boxes or pallets.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; sweeping and free of debris, always organizing the warehouse and work area for orderliness.
  • Wearing proper safety equipment.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Good communication, organizational, time management, mathematical skills.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Class B CDL with air brake endorsements preferred.
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills may be required.

Physical Demands and Abilities:

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75 pounds occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Able to drive and stay in a truck upwards of 8 hours per day depending on the trip.
  • Able to climb up and down the bed of the truck that is upwards of 4 feet off the ground multiple times per day.
