Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing x-ray exams for IP, ER, and OR service lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
  • Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
  • Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.

Requirements

  • Duties at MMC include ER, OR, inpatient, and portables support. Equipment includes Siemens, Fuji portables, and GE OEC c-arms.
  • On-call: 2-3 days/month.
  • Weekends: Every other Sat/Sun.
  • Holidays: Depends on how schedule falls.
  • Require Certs: ARRT Registry.
  • Preferred Certs: BLS.
  • EMR System: Cerner.
  • Scrubs: Caribbean Blue.
  • QUALIFICATIONS: BLS and ACLS, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification, Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology, The ability to stand for extended periods, Strong technical skills, Knowledge of medical terminology, Passionate about patient care, Requires a minimum of two years of current Radiology Technologist experience, Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program, Active unencumbered Radiology Tech Michigan state license, One year of Epic experience.
