As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating the functional safety of railway vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expert advice to our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Evaluate evidence for the functional safety of railway vehicles in accordance with the CSM-RA regulation
  • Test vehicles in normal and error conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate requirements of the TSI LOC&PAS and ensure that our vehicles meet these standards
  • Conduct audits and technical discussions with national and international customers to ensure that our vehicles meet their safety requirements
  • Manage projects and communicate with our customers to ensure that their safety needs are met
  • Evaluate safety evidence for electronic controls and application-specific software for vehicle controls
  • Analyze cybersecurity assets in the field of rail vehicles to ensure that our vehicles are secure

**Requirements**

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, rail vehicle technology, technical informatics, or a comparable education in the engineering field
  • Professional experience as a safety engineer, system engineer, developer of electronic controls or software, validator, or similar in the rail vehicle sector
  • Experience in risk management (safety or security) is desirable
  • Experience in relevant methodologies of functional safety is desirable (FMEA, FMECA, FMEDA, FTA, etc.)
  • Willingness to familiarize oneself with new topics and technologies
  • Experience in the field of cybersecurity for OT is advantageous
  • Negotiation skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%) nationally and internationally
  • Outgoing and confident demeanor
