Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $73,000-$90,000 based on national averages for clinical nurse leaders with similar experience in the United States.

Job Description

As a Clinical Nurse Leader at LifeStream Behavioral Center, you will provide professional psychiatric nursing care, supervising other nursing personnel on your shift. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring quality and effective nursing care from your team members, assisting in improving inpatient nursing services delivery systems, planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating client care provided by staff under your supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all members of your team provide quality and effective nursing care.
  • Assist the Nurse Administrator(s) to improve inpatient nursing services care delivery systems.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate client care provided by staff under your supervision.
  • Accurately assess clients' needs and prioritize care.
  • Develop effective client care plans.
  • Utilize knowledge to facilitate psycho-educational groups.
  • Oversee and manage unit operations.
  • Effectively supervise assigned employees.
  • Document service provision in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Foster a therapeutic milieu with cooperation from other disciplines.
  • Administer medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Interact with clients to establish a therapeutic relationship and facilitate achievement of treatment plan goals.
  • Provide direction and supervision to RNs, LPNs, and Behavioral Technicians.
  • Advise Nurse Administrator(s) on matters concerning nursing care and clients' needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Legible handwriting and good documentation skills.
  • Must be assertive and have a tenacious work ethic.
  • Honest, dependable, well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Flexibility, patience, and ability to remain calm in crisis situations.

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Additional education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Clinical Director of Nursing.

Training & Development:

  • Complete all requirements according to Individual Training Plan within the first six months of hire and annually.
  • Other training and/or professional development may be assigned due to evolution of programs.
  • Level II Background Clearance.
