Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Mechanic Supervisor to join our team at GFL Environmental. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance and repair of our heavy-duty vehicles.


Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel and CNG powered trucks, including engines, electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
  2. Leadership and Mentoring: Supervise and mentor junior mechanics to improve their skills and knowledge, prioritizing repairs to maximize efficiency and timely completion of work orders.
  3. Inspections and Compliance: Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles, ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations.
  4. Administrative Duties: Complete reports, work orders, order parts, and perform other administrative duties as required daily.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in diesel and CNG maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret detailed schematics and manuals.
  • ASE Certifications preferred.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • 5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
