Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Sales: Promote the sale of bank products and services to customers through our defined sales process, maximizing banking relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Transaction Processing: Process various banking transactions, including account openings, closings, and changes, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Account Management: Manage customer accounts, including verifying identification and information, and ensuring customers receive and understand their account disclosures.
  • Risk Management: Deter fraud by validating customer identification and signatures, checking documentation, and examining checks for endorsements.
  • Compliance: Adhere to current shred procedures and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with Regulation P and other relevant regulations.
  • Communication: Analyze and rectify customer concerns through satisfactory verbal and written communications, following established procedures.
  • Product Knowledge: Acquire comprehensive knowledge of bank products and services to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.
  • Mathematical Skills: Verify accuracy of monetary transactions using basic math skills and a calculator.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance by applying bank policies and procedures when processing transactions.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training new teller trainees, demonstrating and teaching transaction processing, and observing and correcting trainees as they perform transactions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Teller and customer service training/experience required, equivalent to a year of combined experience.
  • Above-average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Pursuit of certification in life insurance, lending, or business banking expected.
  • Proficient with the use of a personal computer and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
