Overview

The University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lab Scientist- Blood Bank Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and providing data for use in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.

Job Description

This position performs a wide variety of laboratory tests by manual methods or use of various automated, mechanical, or electronic devices. The successful candidate will be accountable for accurate results and maintain required records of tests conducted, preparing reports as needed.


Responsibilities
  • Performs the full range of duties from specimen procurement through data analysis and reporting.
  • Maintains required records of test conducted, preparing reports as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
  • Current CA CLS License.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to work variable shifts and overtime as required.

Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
