Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Room Nurse to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth recovery process for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the provision of nursing care to patients in a same day surgery setting, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for recovery.
  • Assume total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and center policies, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and decision-making skills.
  • Monitor and control the use of and charging for supplies utilized in the center, maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor of Clinical Services to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Develop and implement total nursing care plans for post-operative patients, assessing their needs and providing individualized attention.
  • Administer medications and treatments ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to facility policies.
  • Provide psychological support to patients and their families, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including symptoms, reactions, and changes in patient condition.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain competence and stay up-to-date with best practices in nursing care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse License.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulations.

Working Conditions

  • Inside 95-100% of the time.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, dust, and odors.
  • Occasional contact with communicable disease and electrical equipment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment provided, including gowns, gloves, masks, and head cover.
