Job Summary

As a Cardiac Sonographer at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care using lab physiological and ultrasound equipment. Under the direction of the lab manager and medical director, you will perform all echocardiography lab exams, utilizing your skills and knowledge to accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings.

Responsibilities:

- Perform most modalities of echocardiography, including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, and color flow Doppler imaging
- Assist with qualified physicians with TEE procedures
- Review images and paperwork to ensure quality exams are complete, thorough, and prepared for review by reading physicians
- Rotate to multiple lab locations as scheduled and required by the IAC
- Participate in the daily workflow by watching the sonographer worklist to ensure timely patient care
- Schedule exams through the transport system if applicable

Requirements:

- Associate's degree in Radiology or Sonography
- 1 year of experience in echo sonography, performing non-invasive cardiac ultrasound studies
- ARDMS - RDCS or CCI (RCS) certification
