Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to clients as prescribed by doctors, observing correct times and dosages.
- Supervise patients as they administer their own medication, ensuring proper dosage instructions are followed.
- Take and record patient vital signs, alerting nursing staff to potential medication interactions or adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medication dispensing and care notes.
- Assist nursing staff with patient care, including lifting and transporting patients, and operating medical equipment.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and Medication Aide Certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with good judgment and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to use personal vehicle for work-related tasks.
Working Conditions:
- Periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Requires periods of standing and moving.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
- Exposure to infectious diseases.
