Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to clients as prescribed by doctors, observing correct times and dosages.
  • Supervise patients as they administer their own medication, ensuring proper dosage instructions are followed.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, alerting nursing staff to potential medication interactions or adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medication dispensing and care notes.
  • Assist nursing staff with patient care, including lifting and transporting patients, and operating medical equipment.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and Medication Aide Certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with good judgment and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to use personal vehicle for work-related tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Requires periods of standing and moving.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
  • Exposure to infectious diseases.
