Job Summary

**Job Title:** Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with occupational therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with therapy activities and exercises to improve their quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.
  • Provide, monitor, and record therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial impairments.
  • Select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities and interventions based on patient needs and goals.
  • Communicate effectively with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
  • Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) (when applicable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
