Role Purpose: The School Psychologist plays a crucial role in assessing and interpreting the cognitive, adaptive, academic, social, and emotional development of students. This position involves analyzing psychological assessments, applying relevant state and federal regulations, and devising strategies to meet the unique educational needs of students.

Job Classification: Foundations Educational Services

Employment Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $82,000 - $86,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, administrators, and relevant agencies to design educational and therapeutic programs.
  • Utilize psychological assessments to recommend suitable educational and psychological interventions.
  • Analyze assessment outcomes to inform instructional strategies regarding students' intellectual, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Prepare comprehensive assessment reports for each student evaluated.
  • Engage in IEP teams and contribute to IEP reviews.
  • Conduct necessary re-evaluations for Special Education students.
  • Participate in initiatives that promote positive mental health and effective learning environments.
  • Facilitate referrals to Mental Health Services as needed.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs.
  • Serve as a resource in areas such as guidance, curriculum development, child development, and assessment methodologies.
  • Collaborate on master schedule planning for special education services.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Master's Degree.
  • Arizona Credential authorizing the provision of psychological services.
  • Administrative Services Credential (Preferred).
  • ADE School Psychologist Certification.
  • Graduate degree from a NASP-Approved institution.
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Card.

Work Environment:
  • Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
  • Requires frequent physical activities including reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must possess normal vision and hearing capabilities, with or without correction.
  • Noise levels may vary from moderate to high.
