Job Summary:

The Queen Creek Unified District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursing Associate to provide student support in a classified instructional setting. As a key member of the educational team, the successful candidate will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure the academic and medical well-being of students.

Responsibilities:

Assist students in participating in all academic and educational activities, including one-to-one assistance and hand-over-hand support as needed.
Collaborate with school administration and staff to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate school health programs.
Develop and maintain Nursing Care Plans (NCPs) for students in coordination with parents and other medical professionals.
Provide health assessments of students as needed and monitor and record immunization data according to applicable laws, CDC recommendations, and school district policies.
Supervise the orientation, training, and evaluation of health assistants and audit health records periodically for accuracy, thoroughness, and completeness.
Participate in all applicable IEP meetings and provide health care in all school settings, including buses, as required.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current Arizona license.
Standard or Provisional Certificate from the Arizona State Board of Nursing or National School Nurse Certification from the School Nurse Organization of America (optional).
AZ Fingerprint Clearance and excellent attendance record.
Current CPR Certification and willingness to ride school buses with students as required.
Ability and willingness to provide one-to-one academic assistance in the classroom for all academic and social activities.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position is a school setting, with moderate noise levels and frequent interactions with students, teachers, and other staff members. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
