Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team at Soliant. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychological services to support the mental health, academic progress, and social-emotional development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and develop effective interventions.
  • Offer individual and group counseling to students addressing academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to analyze assessment data and develop intervention strategies.
  • Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and school personnel on matters related to learning, behavior, and mental health.
  • Develop and present professional development workshops on topics such as mental health awareness, behavior management, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to students and staff as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of all services provided.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and developments in the field of school psychology.
Qualifications
  • Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Tennessee Professional School Service Personnel License with a School Psychology endorsement.
  • National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP) is preferred.
  • Experience in a K-12 school setting as a School Psychologist is preferred.
  • Proficiency with psychological assessment tools, intervention techniques, and knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Licensure and Certification Requirements
  • Valid Tennessee Professional School Service Personnel License with a School Psychology endorsement.
  • Completion of an accredited graduate program in School Psychology.
  • Successful completion of a supervised internship in School Psychology.
  • Passing scores on the Praxis School Psychologist exam (Test Code: 5402) or other state-approved examinations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the ethical standards set by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
