Pharmacy Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Accede Solutions Inc. as a key member of our PBM clinical and technical call center. As a subject matter expert in pharmacy knowledge and call center operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members and providers, processing prior authorization requests, and ensuring compliance with all PHI protocols and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide a positive experience when communicating with members and providers, answering incoming calls, and making outgoing calls as needed.
  • Prior Authorization Requests: Process submitted requests within the required time frame, complete necessary communication with providers, and follow standard operating procedures to receive incoming calls.
  • Compliance and Security: Adhere to existing security policies and procedures, handle company confidential data according to policy and guidelines, and remain compliant with all PHI protocols and requirements.
  • Communication and Documentation: Appropriately document all inquiries received via phone, fax, or email, and provide a high level of customer care with our members and providers.
  • Process Improvement: Actively identify areas of inefficiencies and provide innovative suggestions to leadership to keep processes current.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience as a pharmacy technician in retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, managed care, insurance, or pharmacy benefit management.
  • Certification: Active pharmacy technician registration with a Board of Pharmacy or certified pharmacy technician from accredited program (PTCB, ExCPT, etc.) or must obtain certification within 12 months.
