Clinical Perioperative Nurse

The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a key member of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Perioperative department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care, and contributing to a culture of safety and excellence.
Responsibilities- Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice, analytical/critical thinking, and ensuring that care is individualized and coordinated.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and significant others (as appropriate) using effective communication methods, such as bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards, ensuring that care is delivered in a manner that promotes the professional care delivery model.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care, promoting a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care, including initiating and/or leading activities and promoting an inter/intra-disciplinary process.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Reg Nurse (Single State) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 5 years direct patient care nursing experience.
