Location: Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc.

Compensation: $13.75 per hour

Work Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week); specific days and hours may vary; two days off each week

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Handle both donated and purchased items for placement on the sales floor.
  • Ensure adherence to the POS Solutions Inventory System and meet established production targets.
  • Sort, hang, and categorize merchandise (including textiles, footwear, electronics, and household items) for evaluation and pricing using a computerized grading system.
  • Maintain accurate records of ongoing and completed work batches and other production-related data.
  • Apply knowledge of Kaizen principles to promote continuous improvement in all production processes.
  • Utilize material handling equipment to transport and organize donations effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, performing necessary cleaning tasks throughout the store.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience interacting with the public.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team to achieve production goals.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics and capable of reading and writing.
  • Experience operating computerized systems (including POS Solutions Inventory System and grading systems).
  • Ability to make pricing decisions based on product quality.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
  • Open availability is preferred, as the store operates seven days a week from 8 AM to 7 PM.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must possess the physical stamina to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, bend, reach (up to 6 feet with a ladder if necessary), and lift up to 50 pounds; heavier lifting may require assistance.
  • Must be mobile enough to work in any area of the facility.


Legal Requirements:
  • Must provide documentation to meet I-9 requirements.
  • Background check, drug screening, and physical examination are required.
