Key Responsibilities:
  • Search for and analyze bid documents, plans, and drawings to estimate project costs.
  • Attend pre-bid and job meetings to discuss project details and requirements.
  • Create detailed bid scopes, including labor, materials, and equipment costs, within project timeframes.
  • Schedule manpower and equipment to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Identify potential job conflicts and submit RFIs and/or CPs to resolve issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, agencies, and employees to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Perform plan take-offs to ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • Develop and review cost estimates and project timelines to ensure alignment with project budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Monitor and adjust estimates based on project changes and unforeseen conditions.
  • Track and analyze project costs and budgets to ensure financial efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Wet Utilities.
  • Hands-on field experience in underground utilities – sewer, water, storm drains, basins, and fire systems.
  • Knowledge of dry utilities (gas).
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and/or familiarity with other relevant programs.
  • Knowledge of civil and public works.
  • Clean driving record and a valid CA driver's license.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or minimum of 5 years experience.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in managing construction project budgets and timelines.
  • Ability to interpret and apply engineering principles and practices.

Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 Yearly
