The Department of Psychiatry is committed to delivering top-tier psychiatric care through a comprehensive approach that integrates patient care, education, and research. Our goal is to be a leading institution for training future psychiatry leaders, advancing neuroscience research, and innovating treatment methods for neurobehavioral disorders.
Position Overview- The Psychiatry Department encompasses a wide-ranging mission in research, clinical practice, and education.
- Focus on academic excellence.
- Provide clinical care for complex cases in a tertiary referral center while engaging in the education of various learners, including medical students and residents, alongside opportunities for clinical research.
- This is a hospital-based role in a large pediatric facility, responsible for emergency department coverage, psychiatric consultations on pediatric floors, and inpatient units, promoting a comprehensive, evidence-based medical practice through a multidisciplinary framework.
- Work schedule includes 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off (6 PM - 6 AM).
- Position is entirely inpatient-focused.
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Physician must hold a valid medical license in Maryland or be eligible for licensure.
