Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our dynamic team at our Hillcrest Orthopedic Imaging Office in Phillipsburg, NJ.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
Job Description
The successful candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures adhering to radiation protection principles, local, state, and federal standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Properly identifying patients and exams, and performing diagnostic radiographic services with maximum care and evaluating technical quality.
- Responsible for successful technical continuity of care and educating patients on radiological procedures.
- Demonstrating competency in RIS/HIS modules relevant to job responsibilities.
- Assisting in data collection for Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
- Maintaining responsibility for assigned areas, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Accurately following downtime procedures to ensure continuity of care.
- Participating in professional development through in-services and continuing education programs.
- Providing educational information to patients regarding their examinations.
- Analyzing films during annual peer reviews, meeting department standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A graduate degree from an ARRT-recognized education program or equivalent.
- ARRT registration or eligibility, with registry completion within one year of hire date.
- New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License (with NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection).
- Current BLS certification within three months of hire.
- Experience as a radiologic technologist and ongoing training in department procedures.
