Department Head

Immediate Mailing Service Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Department Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our print department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with quality standards.

• Supervise and lead a team of machine operators to ensure timely and accurate completion of jobs.
• Monitor and maintain production schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
• Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to ensure all processes comply with company quality standards and client specifications.
• Schedule and oversee regular maintenance of machines to prevent breakdowns.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and reduce costs.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in similar operations, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting mail-inserting machines and related equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze production data and make informed decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unexpected issues efficiently.

The Department Supervisor will work in a warehouse or production facility environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust. The role requires frequent standing, walking, crouching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and using repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
