About the Program

Our year-long program is designed to provide you with the tools and skills necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. You'll work alongside experienced nurse educators and mentors, gaining hands-on experience and developing valuable clinical and critical thinking skills.

What to Expect
  • Advanced clinical training in a specialty area
  • Monthly educational sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills
  • Preceptorship training with a facility preceptor to guide you through the transition from student nurse to registered nurse
  • Measurement and evaluation of skills through hands-on simulations
  • Mentoring from experienced nurse leaders to support your growth and development
  • Working collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project to apply your skills in a real-world setting

Requirements

To be eligible for the Nurse Residency Program, you must:

  • Hold a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Hold an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment
  • Have an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Be a Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
  • Have no previous experience needed
  • Be willing to travel for training
