Senior Hematology-Oncology Staff Physician Position

We are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Senior Hematology-Oncology Staff Physician to join our esteemed team at the South Texas VA. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of deserving veterans.

Position Overview

This senior-level position involves providing comprehensive patient care, including diagnostic workup, treatment, and follow-up for blood disorders and malignancies. The ideal candidate will participate in educational programs, quality assurance initiatives, and clinical research activities, while supervising medical students, residents, and fellows.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring seamless collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including clinical research interests in Hematology or Oncology.
  • Supervise medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements

  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology-Oncology.
  • ABIM Board eligibility/certification in Internal Medicine and Hematology and Medical Oncology.
  • Hematology/Oncology Fellowship in an ACGME accredited training program (candidates in the final year are eligible).
