Job Summary

The Operations Director will be responsible for managing all activities related to operations and development of company products. This includes providing input to the development of product strategy, researching and developing new and emerging products, and establishing production and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production and quality control standards to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Provide guidance to subordinate supervisors on the development of manufacturing process plans, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
  • Ensure that all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met, and coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
  • Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Train and ensure that all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities

The Operations Director will be responsible for managing up to 5 subordinate supervisors who supervise 50+ employees in the Special Projects, Shipping and Receiving, Packing, Order Processing, Routing, Inventory, and Auditing departments. This includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse operations management experience.
  • Experience working in production-based/fast-paced environments.
  • Warehouse performance management experience required.
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
